Create a Powerline network using the Pair button

You can connect a number of devices on a powerline network, but you can use the Pair button on only two devices at a time.

Step 1. Press and hold the Pair button of Powerline device A TL-PA211 for 3 to 8 seconds, the Power LED will start flashing.

Step 2. Press and hold the Pair button of Powerline device B TL-WPA281 for 1 second, the Power LED will start flashing. (This must be done within 120 seconds after pressing the Pair button of Powerline device A.)

Step 3. Wait for about 60 seconds while your Powerline device A and B are connecting. The Power LED on both devices will stop flashing and become solid light when the connection is made.




Join an existing Powerline Network:

Powerline device A and Powerline device B form a HomeplugAV Network, and Powerline device C wants to join this network.


Step 1. Press and hold the Pair button on Powerline device C TL-PA211 for 3 to 8 seconds.

Step 2. Press and hold the Pair button on Powerline device A/B for 1 second/3 to 8 seconds. (This step must be taken within 120 seconds after step 1 is finished.)

Step 3. Wait for about 60 seconds while your Powerline devices are connecting. The Power LED on Powerline device A/B and C will stop flashing and become solid light when the connection is made.


Leave an existing Powerline Network: 

As the figure above shows, Powerline device A, B and C have formed a HomeplugAV Network. The user wants to remove one device (Powerline adapter C) from this network.

Step 1. Press and hold the Pair button on Powerline device C for at least 10 seconds. Powerline device C will reset and restart.

Step 2. Wait for the reset to complete.


Reset 
To reset the Powerline device:

Press and hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds, and then release the button. You will see all LEDs begin to flash. At this moment, the default settings have been restored. Be careful, don’t power off when the device is in reset process.

IEC 60320 is a set of standards from the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) specifying non-locking appliance and interconnection couplers for connecting power supply cords to electrical appliances up to 250 volts.[1]Appliance couplers enable the use of standard inlets and country-specific cord sets which allow manufacturers to produce the same appliance for many markets, where only the cord set has to be changed for a particular market.Interconnection couplers allow a power supply from a piece of equipment or an appliance to be made available to other equipment or appliances. Couplers described under these standards have standardized current and temperature ratings.
Different types of connector (distinguished by shape and size) are specified for different combinations of current, temperature and earthing requirements. Unlike IEC 60309 connectors, they are not coded for voltage; users must ensure that the voltage rating of the equipment is compatible with the mains supply.
Each type of coupler is identified by a standard sheet number. For appliance couplers this consists of the letter C followed by a number, where the standard sheet for the appliance inlet is 1 higher than the sheet for the corresponding cable connector. Many types of coupler also have common names. The most common ones are IEC connector for the common C13 and C14, the figure of 8 connector for C7 and C8, and cloverleaf connector orMickey Mouse connector for the C5/C6. Kettle plug is a colloquial term used for the high-temperature C16 appliance inlet (and sometimes, wrongly, for the mating C15 female connector). Kettle plug is sometimes, incorrectly, used to refer to regular temperature C13 and C14 connectors.
The first edition of IEC 320 (later renumbered IEC 60320) was published in 1970.[2]

APC Management Card can't access WebGUI (Someone is currently logged into the APC Management Web Server.)

If you have APC Management Interface Card, you will always happen the following problem, you must use previous machine & ip address to login and logout, else you will never get in the web interface, because it seem never have timeout on login session.








You have three solution to solve it :

Solution 1:
just simple access the following website to logout the previous session.
http://<apc management card ip>/logout.htm

Solution 2:
using telnet access the APC management card, reboot the Management card.
3. System > 4. Tools > 1. Reboot

Using a clip to press reset hole on APC mangement card

APC Network Management Card Installation and Setting


好普通的一張Card, 適合安裝在所有Smart UPS上, 如SmartUPS 1500, SmartUPS 3000XL, 一般UPS內置提供了一個Com Port或 USB Port 用來連接伺服器控制開關, 如公司一台SmartUPS需要控制多台伺服器則一個Com/USB Port是不夠用的, 可以安裝Network Management Card。


安裝前記紀錄Mac Address, 因為插進Network後會DHCP接收IP, 可以在DHCP lease內查找Mac Address現時派到的 IP Address內修改設定。

安裝好後插好Network Cable, 在Internet Explorer上開啟http://<ip address>
登入Network Management Card

IP Default is DHCP, 你可以使用 Network Management Device IP Configuration Wizard 找尋設備

Authentication Phrase : <hidden auth. phrase>
 - Default is "admin user phrase" 我自己就沒有去修改, 因為試過改完夾極都夾唔到, 可能不是即時生效


UPS > Configuration > General
建議輸入返Last Battery Replacement 日期, 每兩年更換一次電池較為理常

UPS > Configuration > PowerChute clients >
建議不要自行Add Client, 電腦安裝Shutdown tools連接UPS後會自動出現client IP address

Administration > Network > ipv4 settings
 - 設定 Network Management Card 的 IP Address, 設定後不會即時生效, 需等待5-10分鐘後或restart Management Card才會即時生效!

 - 每次使用Web GUI Management 觀看或修改設定後請 Log off, 直接關閉網頁會不能再登入, 需等待5-10分鐘


Administration > Date/Time > Mode
 - 時間設定甚為重要, NTP最好設定為server ip, 與server時間同步, 確保關機時間時相同


電腦或伺服器安裝PowerChute Network Shutdown連接UPS
 - 注意不可以與PowerChute Business Edition等其他使用USB/COM連接的軟件一同使用, 安裝時會要求你uninstall後才可安裝





這畫面需輸入 Username, Password 及 Authentication Phrase, 預設三項都是Network Management Card的預設值
 - Username : apc
 - Password : apc
 - Authentication Phrase : admin user phrase


NMC IP Address 是輸入 Network Management Card的 IP
